Editing a Printed Cheque

ChequeSystem prevents accidental modification of printed cheques by locking them after printing. The Payee, Cheque Number, Date, and Amount fields are locked to maintain data integrity.

Unlocking a Printed Cheque
To edit a printed cheque, you must first unlock it. In the Cheque window, locate the locked icon next to the cheque number . Click this icon to unlock the cheque. All fields will then become editable.

Password Protection (Optional)

For enhanced security, you can set a password to protect your cheques. In main screen, go to menu “Tools > Cheque Password” to set a password. After setting a password, you’ll need to enter it each time you want to unlock a printed cheque.

Change Log
All edits made to a printed cheque are recorded in the Change Log. This log is accessible via the “Change Log” tab in the Cheque window, providing a complete audit trail of any modifications.
